Renzo Scribante is the founder of Rembrothers and can best be described as a visionary entrepreneur who is deeply focused and driven about the brands he has created. Renzo opened his first restaurant Remo’s Italian in Durban in 2007 an Italian concept with a distinct vibe that soon became a well-known favourite amongst Durban, Johannesburg and Eastern Cape foodies. Renzo’s passion and energy for the hospitality industry led to the establishment of a holding company Rembrothers Hospitality Group in 2012. This company creates and houses exceptional brands including The Pencil, Legacy Yard, Remo’s Italian, Old Town Italy, Bard & Minstrel, LDV Coffee, Fratelli Foods and The Italian Job. The Group has recently expanded to Dallas, Texas where it will continue to grow its business.
The Group’s Property devision is the design and property development arm of the business which manages a select portfolio of boutique properties both residential and commercial in South Africa and England with expansion planned for the USA. Renzo’s drive comes from envisioning a concept, developing a brand, project managing and finally execution of the project to its ultimate success. With the right strategic focus and ability to see opportunities in the market place Renzo continues to grow his business in an arena where excellence and vision are key components to success.
Chief Operation Officer
Clifford has spent over a decade building a portfolio of award-winning concepts under the Rembrothers umbrella including restaurant, retail and market concepts. Starting with Renzo back in 2007 in their first restaurant, Clifford has built the foundation of operations and the culture for which Rembrothers is known. Now Based in Dallas, Texas, Clifford heads up Rembrothers USA Inc, providing creative and consulting services to hospitality industry leaders in addition to establishing Rembrothers roots in the United States.
Shalimar has been with the Group for over a decade. She has grown from within the organization to Finance Manager. Managing both the hospitality and property divisions for the group based in South Africa and Internationally.

Honors in Industrial Sociology, working for the Rembrothers Group for 10 years now. Adolf has a passion for developing BOH systems and procedures for both the hospitality and property industry. Specializing in hygiene, operational planning, health & safety and international standards

Monique is often described as a coffee fanatic and part of her role at Rembrothers is to import the finest LDV brand of coffee to you! With a Travel & Hospitality background, managing tenants and attention to detail are her passion and top priorities.
Group Executive Chef – South Africa
Edward started as a barmen in the groups first restaurant, Remo’s Italian, back in 2007. Edward has grown into an integral part of the executive team, building operations and a culture that cemented the foundation of our company. Working his way into the kitchen and eventually into the companies group executive chef, he has travelled far and wide to open many a kitchen for the company.
Selby, known as the Black Mamba, has had a steady hand over bar operations for the group since they started in 2007. Known for his exceptional barista skills, he had trained many of South Africa’s finest and is known by our customers far and wide. He is one of the pillars of our culture and his passion, kindness and love can be seen in every cup of coffee.
